Margaret Bassett Real Estate was originally established as a one person office specializing in sponsor apartments on the Upper West Side. In the first year, the company's reputation was so positive and word of mouth referrals so favorable that the company was able to expand and service buyers and sellers in all price ranges.

Over the years the company became known for dealing with clients with integrity and consideration in a sometimes hard edged and aggressive environment. In order to keep this high personal level of service, it was important to keep the company small, and as Eva Graczyk and Terry Oleske joined the company, an unusual relationship of trust and cooperation developed within the sales force. It was decided to share all commissions equally, enabling each individual to concentrate on client needs at all price levels rather than competition for large sales within the company.

In order to service it's clientele more fully, the company joined the Real Estate Board of New York and cooperates with companies, both small and large, throughout the Metropolitan area.
